BEHIND THE ARTIST

BEHIND THE ARTIST

From a young age, I've been drawn to all things expressive, creative, and delightfully chaotic. It took me time to figure out how to channel that energy, but the journey was half the fun. Beyond arts and crafts, I loved experimenting with my character. I attended drama school, dressed in bold, colorful outfits—my hair often matching my bright skirts—and constantly reinvented my bedroom. Even now, as an adult, I tend to turn my home upside down whenever inspiration (or boredom) strikes.

In early 2019, I fell head over heels for yarn. Knitting had always been a passion, but this new obsession turned our home into a craft store! I began crocheting at all hours, and that’s when Cellys Amigurumi was born. I built a small, vibrant community of fellow yarn lovers, and I adored it. My creative journey then led me to making rugs, and eventually, to abstract art. I started by painting broad, rough strokes and weaving yarn into the canvas. For a while, I thought yarn would always be my primary medium—but I was wrong.

Today, I’m painting semi-abstract landscapes, often featuring my signature swans or other birds and animals to bring the pieces to life. My art reflects my lifelong love of expression, texture, and color. Over time, I’ve woven together these passions into a style that brings me both calm and joy.

While my current focus is on semi-abstract landscapes, I never want to confine myself to a single genre or method. I’m driven by curiosity and the thrill of trying something new, whether it’s a bold color palette, an unconventional technique, or an entirely different medium.

I’m so grateful to everyone who follows along with me—your support means everything. I can’t wait to see where this path takes us next as we continue to explore and grow together through art.

All my love,
Celine
